Article Processing Charge
IJDDPI is an open-access journal — readers never pay to access articles.
Launch offer: All manuscripts accepted during the journal's initial one year of publication are published completely free of charge — the APC is fully waived.
After the launch period, the following article processing charge applies to accepted manuscripts:
There are no submission charges or per-page fees, and no charge is payable for manuscripts that are not accepted for publication.
Fee Waivers for Authors from Low-Income Countries
In line with standard practice among international open-access journals, IJDDPI supports researchers with limited funding:
- Full APC waiver for corresponding authors based in low-income countries (as classified by the World Bank / Research4Life Group A).
- 50% APC discount for corresponding authors based in lower-middle-income countries (Research4Life Group B).
Waiver or discount requests should be made at the time of submission by writing to editor@ijddpi.com; requests made after acceptance cannot be considered. The ability to pay has no bearing on editorial decisions — peer review is entirely independent of APC status.
APC Waivers for Reviewers and the Editorial Team
As a matter of journal policy, IJDDPI recognises the service of its peer reviewers and editorial team through publication-fee waivers:
- Peer reviewers: reviewers who complete five review reports for the journal earn a 50% APC discount, and reviewers who complete ten review reports earn a full APC waiver — in each case applicable to one manuscript on which they are the corresponding author.
- Editorial Board Members and Section Editors: serving members of the editorial team receive one full APC waiver per calendar year, applicable to one manuscript on which they are the corresponding author.
Conditions. (1) A waiver applies only to manuscripts accepted through the journal’s standard double-anonymised peer review — earning a waiver has no bearing whatsoever on editorial decisions, and manuscripts authored by editors or editorial board members are handled entirely by an independent editor, with the author excluded from all editorial processes relating to their own submission (see the Conflict of Interest policy). (2) Waivers are personal and non-transferable, cover the article processing charge only, are limited to one per person per calendar year, cannot be combined with other discounts, and remain valid for 12 months from the date they are earned. (3) Waivers should be claimed at the time of submission by writing to editor@ijddpi.com, quoting the relevant reviewer certificate number(s). (4) The journal may amend or withdraw this programme at any time; waivers already earned will be honoured.
Note: during the journal’s launch period the APC is fully waived for all authors in any case; reviewer and editorial waivers earned now can be applied after the launch offer ends.
