Data Availability Policy
Promoting transparency, reproducibility, and responsible access to research data
IJDDPI encourages authors to make the data underlying their published articles openly available wherever legally and ethically possible. Transparent access to supporting data helps promote reproducibility, research integrity, and confidence in published findings.
Data Availability Statement
Every manuscript must include a Data Availability Statement indicating where and under what conditions the supporting data can be accessed.
Authors should clearly state: where the supporting data are available and the conditions, if any, governing access.
Acceptable Data Access Routes
Public Repositories
Supporting data may be deposited in a public repository such as Zenodo, Figshare, or an appropriate discipline-specific repository.
Supplementary Files
Relevant supporting data may be provided as supplementary files associated with the published article.
Reasonable Request
Where appropriate, data may be made available on reasonable request to the corresponding author.
When Data Cannot Be Shared
If supporting data cannot be made openly available, the Data Availability Statement must clearly explain the reason. Legitimate restrictions may include participant privacy or other legal or ethical considerations.
Access During Peer Review
Editors and reviewers may request access to underlying data during peer review where necessary to assess the validity, reproducibility, or interpretation of the research.
Important: An unjustified refusal to provide requested underlying data may be grounds for rejection of the manuscript.
