Ethical requirements for studies involving human participants
Studies involving human participants must be conducted in accordance with recognized ethical standards and must receive appropriate institutional ethical approval before the research is undertaken.
Ethical Approval
All studies involving human participants must have been conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and approved by an appropriate institutional ethics committee.
Informed Consent
Written informed consent must be obtained from all participants or, where applicable, from their legally authorized guardians. A statement confirming informed consent must be included in the manuscript.
Participant Privacy
Identifying information must not be published unless the participant has provided explicit written consent for its publication.
Manuscript Requirement
Authors must clearly state in the manuscript that appropriate ethical approval was obtained and that written informed consent was obtained from participants or their legal guardians, where applicable.
